MY JOURNEY - A Difficult Beginning
I was brought up in a family with a very poor background. Raising my upkeep in school and ensuring that I had a smooth learning experience was a major challenge.
Despite these hardships, I was a bright student. I had high hopes that one day I would make it in life through education, be somewhere better, and be in a position to change the situation of my family, relatives, and society at large.
When Education Seemed Out of Reach
After completing primary school, I scored high marks in my final examinations and was selected to join one of the best national schools in Kenya.
Unfortunately, my dreams seemed shattered because my poor family could not raise the amount required for my admission.
I joined a local high school, but raising school fees remained a major challenge for my parents and relatives.
I was sent home repeatedly because of school fees. Through all these difficulties, I managed to complete my first year of high school.
However, during my second year, I was forced to drop out because of the large school fee balance that had accumulated from my first year.
I spent nearly one year at home with no hope of continuing my education.
A Second Chance
It was at this point that RFI Foundation came to my rescue and became what I needed most to revive my hope and transform my life. Through RFI, all my outstanding fee balances were cleared. I was given another opportunity to return to school, and my school fees for the whole year were paid. I was also provided with learning materials, while my accommodation was catered for until I completed high school.
From High School to Higher Education
I graduated from high school with high points, which enabled me to enroll in college. RFI continued to support me by paying my full college tuition fees, rent, food, and monthly upkeep throughout my studies.
This support enabled me to complete my accounting course and later join a public university for my undergraduate studies. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and secured a job as an accountant.
It was at this point that RFI Foundation came to my rescue and became what I needed most to revive my hope and transform my life. Through RFI, all my outstanding fee balances were cleared. A Transformed Life
Today, I am independent and able to support myself financially. I am also pursuing further education at a higher level and am able to support my family members.
All my achievements would have been impossible without RFI Foundation. My life has truly been transformed, and I give great thanks to RFI Foundation.
